  • Project Description
National Pressed Metal (the contracting arm of Australian Pressed Metal) & Perth Pressed Metal worked closely with Heritage Achitects & builder Multiplex on the restoration & redevelopment of the heritage listed buildings in the Perth Cultural Centre, part of a state heritage precinct with buildings dating back to the 1890's Gold Rush. Original pressed metal ceilings were repaired, restored and replaced in the wardens' offices in the old gaol. Panels were removed to upgrade services to meet current codes and original panels were reinstated where possible or replaced using the original imperial Fleur design. Where the ceilings were severely damaged beyond repair new pressed metal ceilings were installed in the tradional Fleur design keeping the authentic heritage character of the building.
