Adelaide Pressed Metal were contracted by Exclusive Commercial Linings to supply & install approximately 70 square metres of pressed metal panels to the ceilings throughout the common areas & meeting room in the newly reburbished offices at 60 King William Street, Adelaide CBD. The pressed metal design chosen by the interior designer was Medium Fishscale supplied in 900mm x 1800mm panels. This panel is traditionally used as a roofing & cladding material & has no traditional overlap unlike typical pressed metal ceiling panels. The absence of an overlap along with pattern matching, odd angles & working to a shadowline around the ceiling perimetre made it a more challenging installation. Medium Fishscale has a deep profile pressing which required highly skilled workmanship in the cutting of the angles to follow the curve of the walls, millimetre perfect. Mechanical & electrical penetrations all needed to be cut out asthetically & also millimetre perfect. All panel overlaps were gapped and prepared ready for priming & painting. The experienced team at Adelaide Pressed Metal worked around other trades & services and to a strict timeline & schedule, completing the project in 4 days.
