Mad Max Fury Road

Pressed metal is such a versatile product, its’ uses are endless.

When the set designers from SA Film Corporation dropped into our showroom looking for ideas while filming Mad Max Fury Road, and left with a panel of our Arctic Daisy design, we didn’t quite know what to expect. A year or so later the movie was released and we were excited to see that the set designers had thought outside the box and used our pressed metal as the roof lining in the cabin of Furiosa’s truck. The design used, Arctic Daisy, is exclusive to the Australian Pressed Metal group but the pattern was slightly modified to resemble skulls.

We also often get enquiries from car enthusiasts about using pressed metal for the firewall in the engine compartment in cars and trucks. The pressed metal panels are lightweight and being aluminium are noncombustible. It looks fantastic and with almost 200 designs to choose from gives a unique custom finish.
